Decree 7/2017, of February 10th on additional compensations of teaching and research staff of the Balearic Islands University, aims to establish and regulate the system of additional compensation for teaching and research staff (PDI), civil servants and hired personnel of the Balearic Islands University, eliminating administrative duplications.
The additional compensations that can be received are:
Decree 7/2017, of February 10, which regulates the additional remuneration complements for teaching and research staff of the University of the Balearic Islands, establishes in its article 12.1 that AQUIB's Board of Directors has to appoint an evaluation commission. Therefore, AQUIB created the Complementary Payments Evaluation Commission (CECRA) (s. CECRA's appointment). This Commission comprises five members among whom a president, a secretary and three members — exercising the functions of the position in a collegiate body—and two substitutes are chosen. These members must be selected from among PhD holders with more than twelve years of teaching and/or research experience.
