We are pleased to announce that the Register Committee of the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) has formally accepted the inclusion of two new evaluation activities in our portfolio of competencies. This decision, officially communicated this March 2026, represents a significant step forward in our growth process and reaffirms our technical expertise in managing the quality of the Balearic Islands' university system with full autonomy and international recognition.

With this official endorsement, we are directly taking on the functions of ex-ante accreditation for new official university study programmes and the modification of existing curricula—tasks that were previously coordinated by the national agency ANECA at the higher education institutions in our region. We have implemented these new procedures based on the protocols established by the Spanish Network of University Quality Assurance Agencies (REACU).

This expansion of our functions allows us to strengthen the commitment we have maintained since our registration with EQAR in 2024.
