We have attended the course 'Transferencia e intercambio de conocimiento para la creación de valor social'

We have participated in the summer course organised by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA), held in Santander from 21 to 23 July 2025 at the Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP).

Under the title 'Transferencia e intercambio de conocimiento para la creación de valor social', the course brought together representatives from Spain’s university and scientific system with the aim of continuing to develop evaluation criteria for future calls for the knowledge transfer track. This subject is a strategic priority for the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.

Over the three days, a constructive and enriching dialogue was fostered among universities, research centres, academic staff, quality agencies, and social actors, building on the 2018 pilot programme and the reflective process led by ANECA. We particularly valued the course’s practical approach and the emphasis on disciplinary and professional diversity.

AQUIB’s presence at this meeting reaffirms its commitment to the continuous improvement of evaluation processes and to promoting knowledge transfer that is effective, inclusive, and aligned with the European principles endorsed by CoARA.

summer course “An AI talking to another AI: managing university quality”

From 2 to 4 July, we took part in the summer course “Una IA hablando con otra IA: gestión de la calidad universitaria”, organised by the Universidad Internacional de La Rioja and the Foundation for Knowledge madri+d.

Over the course of three sessions, we shared ideas and experiences with representatives from universities, quality assurance agencies and other stakeholders. We discussed how generative artificial intelligence can transform higher education. Topics included automation, data-driven evaluation, ethics, and academic integrity.

On the final day, we joined the panel on agency experiences, alongside the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation of Spain (ANECA), the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU Catalunya), the Agency for Quality Assurance in the Galician University System (ACSUG), the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education in Andorra (AQUA), the Canary Islands Agency for University Quality and Educational Evaluation (ACCUEE), and the Agency for Quality and Prospective in Higher Education of Aragon (ACPUA).

We come away with ideas and the strong belief that AI must be applied with a critical, ethical and human-centred approach.
