ENQA Experts Visit AQUIB to Evaluate Compliance with ESG
From May 29 to 31, AQUIB was visited by a panel of experts from the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA). Their task was to assess the agency's activities and determine whether it complies with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG). To do this, they conducted a thorough evaluation of the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and additional material such as the website and requested documents, as well as an on-site visit to the agency's headquarters.
The panel was composed of Ronny Heintze (Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programs, AQAS) as chair; Laura Beccari (Swiss Agency of Accreditation and Quality Assurance, AAQ) as secretary; Mar Campins (University of Barcelona) as academic member; and Hilal Karaoğlan (Marmara University) as student member. Alexis Fàbregas from ENQA coordinated the process.
The purpose of the site visit was to verify and expand on the information provided in the SAR, and to give the agency the opportunity to discuss its activities and development. For this reason, interviews were conducted with the agency's management, staff, and key internal and external stakeholders, including our committees and various student groups.
This evaluation is a crucial step to ensure that AQUIB meets international quality standards, reaffirming our commitment to continuous improvement and transparency in our processes. We look forward to the panel's conclusions and recommendations to further enhance our services and ensure quality in higher education.
