Attendance to the largest international research management event: INORMS 2025
We have attended the International Network of Research Management Societies (INORMS 2025) Congress, which held its biennial meeting in Madrid from 6 to 8 May. This large-scale event addressed a wide range of topics relevant to research management, including the professionalisation and training of research managers and administrators (RMAs), the use of management tools based on artificial intelligence (AI), the current geopolitical context of scientific research, ethics and integrity in research management, the challenges of translating and transferring research into social and economic impact in a rapidly changing world, and collaboration among key stakeholders in the research ecosystem (universities, research institutions, scientific publishers, public administrations, funding agencies, and evaluators). The congress featured numerous keynote speeches, presentations, and posters by institutions from across the globe.
INORMS 2025 also provided the setting for the Annual Assembly of the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA), of which we are members. During the assembly, participants approved the strategic agenda and audit report, elected a new Board of Directors, and confirmed the continuity of Dipti Pandya as EARMA Chair.
In conclusion, INORMS 2025 closed with the announcement that the next congress, INORMS 2027, will be held in Montreal, Canada.
