Vives Forum “Students and University: Horizon 2030”
We attended the Vives Forum “Students and University: Horizon 2030”, organised by the Vives Network of Universities at the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia.
The forum served as a space for dialogue among academic leaders, teaching staff, quality assurance agencies, researchers and students, with the aim of reflecting on the current relationship between universities and students, and how it will evolve in the coming years.
Drawing on the data and conclusions of the fourth edition of the Via Universitària report (2023–2025) —which gathered the participation of more than 45,000 students from twenty universities—, the discussions addressed key issues such as living and learning conditions, inequalities in access and retention, emotional wellbeing, and new models of flexible teaching.
From AQUIB, we highlight the importance of these shared spaces to strengthen inter-university collaboration, reflect on the challenges of the higher education system, and move towards a more inclusive, open and diverse learning environment.
